JMC was retained by the Village of Tarrytown to study its Loh Park Area which has experienced flooding historically. Our work on the project included the preparation of an overall drainage analysis to determine the capacities of the existing drainage infrastructure and to identify improvements to mitigate these conditions.
The project includes work on municipal and private properties, and explored options for providing stormwater detention as well as pipe capacity upgrades. The work included coordination with the New York State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), the NYSDOT, area residents and Village Staff and approval Boards to implement the work.
JMC employed the use of laser scanning to supplement the design as well as to document existing conditions. We also performed civil engineer, land surveying and landscape architecture services on various phases of the project.
