  Walgreens | 10.19.2015

  JMC has been engaged to complete the design and development of numerous Walgreens pharmacies.  Many of these projects included the adaptive reuse of an existing developed property.  Special attention was paid to Walgreens’ standard site details, which were required to be incorporated into every project.  Close coordination was required with Walgreens’ corporate representatives during the course of our work, to ensure proper adherence to corporate standards were achieved.  Services typically include: Site Planning, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Land Surveying, Transportation Engineering, Entitlements and Construction Administration Services.

  One local example of a Walgreens project, a former medical office and before that the site of the Town’s only supermarket, the Walgreen’s Mount Pleasant, NY site is located at the intersection of Kensico Road, NY Route 141 and Westchester Avenue.  Known as the “Four Corners” to locals, the site is located in the heart of the downtown business district.  An obvious focal point and gateway to Mount Pleasant, this project gave JMC the chance to make this redevelopment project a successful community improvement.  Carefully coordinating with the local Beautification Committee and approval agencies, we were able to include aesthetically pleasing and practical site amenities such as a clock tower, a monument recognizing the local community, landscape and hardscape improvements, and upgrades to the County transportation system.

  55 Bank Street | 09.23.2015

  55 Bank Street is a mixed-use development in White Plains proposed by LCOR, consisting primarily of housing, retail and parking on a site just south of the Metro-North train station.  The 760,000 SF project is comprised of two 16-story apartment buildings  constructed on a site previously occupied by a commuter parking lot, and includes more than 550 rental units, 6,300 square-feet of retail space and a parking garage.

  Fordham University | 09.23.2015

  JMC was retained to assist Fordham University develop their Westchester County NY satellite campus in West Harrison, New York. The project included the adaptive reuse of an existing office campus. The redevelopment of the site required updating and improving the site parking areas, pedestrian circulation network, utilities systems, drop-off area, signage and landscaping. Improvements to the existing stormwater management systems were also required to correct long standing problems and improve the functionality of the system.

  Established in 1967, the Louis Calder Center is Fordham’s biological field station situated on 113 forested acres with a 10 acre lake in North Castle, NY.  JMC has been involved with several projects at this site, including approvals for emergency generators.
