Mr. Pearson is a Senior Associate Principal Emeritus of the firm and is a retired Licensed Professional Engineer in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts, a licensed Traffic Engineer in California and a Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. He has more than 30 years of experience in civil and traffic engineering, land planning and project management.
Since joining the firm in 1984, Mr. Pearson’s responsibilities include supervising the preparation of traffic and parking studies, site plan approval drawings, roadway improvement and traffic signal plans. He has provided traffic and parking consultant services for various municipal planning boards for more than 15 years. He is also experienced in site development feasibility studies, zoning and subdivision regulations, environmental impact statements, site planning and engineering, sewage disposal systems, cost estimating and construction observation. He also provides expert witness testimony and related services.
Mr. Pearson is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, The Urban Land Institute and The International Council of Shopping Centers.
A 1982 graduate of Colorado State University, Mr. Pearson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Management. He has continued advanced studies in civil and traffic engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Polytechnic University, Northwestern University, Central Florida University, Georgia Tech University, The Center for Professional Advancement and McTrans. He has conducted beta testing of the HCS traffic software developed by McTrans associated with the 1997 and 2000 Highway Capacity Manuals.

read more >Mr. Schmidt is Principal of the firm and Licensed Professional Land Surveyor with almost 30 years of experience in boundary, topographic, tree, wetlands, control and utility surveys, construction layout, grading and land subdivision. He has experience providing expert witness testimony in court regarding boundary line issues.
Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Schmidt’s responsibilities include the supervision, preparation and review of boundary, topographic and utility surveys, title research, subdivision plats and the preparation of easement and property descriptions.
Mr. Schmidt is licensed in New York and Connecticut. He is a member of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors, Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors and National Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
A 1985 graduate of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse and a 1982 graduate of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Wanakena, Mr. Schmidt holds respective degrees in Natural Resources Management and Forest Technology. Mr. Schmidt continues to stay updated in the latest regulations and technology by attending continuing education courses in Property Boundary Law, Global Positional Systems (GPS), Laser Scanning and Right of Way Regulations.
